Altering Body Type

I am slowly recovering from the WHWR.  Upon returning from Europe, I promptly got a pretty bad cold and have had some sluggish days.  The last 2-3 years of longer endurance work seems to have dulled all my fast-twitch muscles.  Having once run 50 flat for 400m, I seriously doubt if I could break 60 seconds right now.

I am using this recovery period to reign in my diet and to rediscover my speed and stride length.  We’ll see what happens but I am hoping to drop 20 pounds by mid-September!

Kudos to my brother Durdam and friend Nick who kicked major butt in the Breckenridge Adventure Race last weekend.  It sounds like it was a brutal course and they we actually leading for a while!
